I have three identical albums... all 4xlp.
Assuming they are all the same release cycle, is it problematic swapping out single lp's so that I can make a VG+, VG and VG- set?
Meaning... I want to swap them around so I have the best all together... etc.
Is there anything that would create a problem in reselling them? Like mismatched serial #'s or anything?

Re: swapping out records between identical albums
Tue, January 30, 2007 - 6:18 AMI don't think that's a problem for most collectors. Like you said, I would make sure that all of the records are from the same printing and I would be upfront about your process when making the sale. The latter insures that buyer can judge for himself/herself if the swap out is a big deal.
Also, I'd gauge danger of the change based on how valuable the album is. A $10 box set? No one will likely care about a small discrepancy. $50? You're starting to talk about collectors who are more finnicky... -
